It's too weird of a hypothetical but I don't think I've ever opposed a war because it was cringe.That having been said I think you could find some precedent in the case of the Iraq/Afghanistan anti-war crowd. I was a young dumb neocon at the time but the utterly TERRIBLE arguments and aesthetics put forth by the majority of the anti-war retards would provide some parallels here. Some folks who lived long enough to see both of those could rightly claim that they have been tested and proven.
