       @simon “my personal feeling on this is there is a very small part of our brain that kind of maybe works a little bit like a language model” is how I think about this. ChatGPT is terrible at facts, but damn it’s a great language brain centre. Couple it with other bits that do memory, facts, analysis, and we might be heading to some very weird places. And that doesn’t seem to me fundamentally harder than crossing the uncanny valley of human conversation. 🤷
