@khoji @dgar Australian cooking: the barbecue is bigger than the kitchen bench and it's full of food, half of which came from the sea. It's not done until there's crunchy black bits here and there. Can't forget the beetroot or the pineapple. Tomorrow is Christmas.

@khoji @dgar I've had Southern US cooking and it's pretty tasty. Seems like a combination of the French and British approaches. :P With a whole of West African influences.From my experiences growing up Chinese-Viet.Chinese (Cantonese) cooking: Like the Italian approach with the good fresh ingredients. As for cooking, either it's Melt-your-face-off-Jet-engine-blast-fire for 30 seconds or low and slow for 30 hours, nowhere in between.Viet cooking: Take Chinese cooking and add Fish sauce to it. 😂 Of course, I get that a lot of people's experience of Chinese food is deep fried meat chunks immersed in a syrupy sauce or a gravy. Which sue me, I also quite enjoy occasionally. 😂

@dgar I figured you wouldn't slip.But speaking or Ice-cream, - you're in Aus, right? - Do you have 99's (I posted a pic a few minutes ago - cw'd cos, like, it's food and they're delicious.Not that a 99 would be a major deal breaker for someone who has to go down under.Just curious

@dgar Maccas.. didn't know that's what they're called there. 😂 Got one from a "Maccas" in Ghent (Belgium) and the guy was trying to see how high he could go.A good 30cm. No flakeI was planning on a take-away, but had to walk slowly to the nearest seat. It was up to standard in taste, texture, - the lot, but not been able to get another since
