       Decided to dip my toes deeper into the #Fediverse and got a #Matrix account activated. SDFers should be able to figure it out, otherwise DM me if you ever want to try it out.

       @zoerhoff I couldn't get matrix to work for the life of me. The only released client I found that seemed like I might use it was gomuks, and gomuks appeared to never successfully sync with sdf, though it appeared to be trying. And I'm not going to dig through golang source to figure out what undocumented step it was failing on. @strypey #fediverse

       @screwtape @strypey There were a few hiccups getting started, but I have it working in element.io on Web and iOS right now. A CLI was my next step, once I do a bit of research on the ones aailable. The weechat plugin might be the most straightforward.

       @screwtapeThe desktop version of Element is just the web app wrapped in a Chrome browser via Electron. More libre to just use Element in your default web browser. Even Deb Stable has one of those ;) @zoerhoff
