If there is a lesson to take away from this:1. Don't use the same password for literally everything, and make it hard to crack (www[DOT]useapassphrase[DOT]com)2. Don't download suspicious files or click links from suspicious emails 3. Disable password login through SSH if you own a web serverPassword managers also are a huge help (keepassxc)

@Unbreaded @Nordic-accelerationist My understanding is they got the email people used to sign up, the password for the account, access to DMs, and maybe IP addresses.IP address doesn't really do much other than confirm a general geo location.DMs don't really matter if you used them for normal coversationsPassword could be a problem if you used the same one multiple placesEmail not really a huge issue either unless you used it for hundreds of accountsI think most people will be fine tbh.

@Jim @Nate @Nordic-accelerationist @Unbreaded and public posts. posts that federate to them. some other info if a user provided it such as birthdays. there's not much collected about users personally beyond emails and birthday if it's provided. everything else is server specific (ap_id, creation time, last active time, etc for example). the main concern is people giving others their addresses in chats I think
