Had a quick play around with https://www.val.town/ - which lets you write little snippets of server-side JavaScript and have them call each other tooHard to explain exactly what it is - it reminds me a tiny bit of Yahoo! Pipes but with a code-first interface. It's pretty interesting! Here's a Val I created that fetches 1,000 recent items from my blog: https://www.val.town/simonw.latestBlogContentWorth watching their video and reading their docs: https://docs.val.town/

Anything on there becomes a CORS-enabled JSON API - here's the API version of my latestBlogContent Val: https://api.val.town/eval/@simonw.latestBlogContentYou can also pass arbitrary JavaScript to the /eval/ endpoint - unauthenticated! - like this: https://api.val.town/eval/55*25

@simon @andybaio You might also check out https://pipedream.com which has been doing the Pipes-but-with-real-code thing for a few years now. It has a ton of neat stuff and can run Python, Go, and Bash in addition to Node.JS.I have a few neat pipes on there that are all well under their free limits. High recommendation.
