Hence DRM-locked printer ink cartridges and coffee pods, and Tesla's software-controlled car features and Zuck's metaverse wet dreams. Once the absolute mega-rich own everything, everyone else simply pays "service fees" to them in perpetuity for every aspect of our very existence.
