       @brewsterkahle "When his work is done, the people say, "Amazing: we did it, all by ourselves!" When people get upset they didn't get sufficient credit for something they caused to happen, I try to get them to see that getting the other side to claim credit is the real victory.

       @carlmalamud @brewsterkahle That works until you need funding.  Then nobody wants to give you any money because they think you aren't doing anything useful.For example, FDR understood that claiming credit was extremely important if he wanted to keep the New Deal going.  So he put labels on everything the New Deal paid for.
