Earlier today, I corrected somebody's use of "cue" versus "queue" and I got slightly fixated on that.I was going to post "I wonder, is there an etymological link between 'cue' and 'queue'?" but then I thought, "Surely this is a question that can be answered with a quick google. I should do the polite thing and search for easy answers first." Well, I'm glad I did! So: I wonder, is there an etymological link between "cue" and "queue"?#Etymology #GoogleIsUseless

@Sidlowkid @squeakyears @wayword I like Etymonline for this kind of question!https://www.etymonline.com/search?q=queuehttps://www.etymonline.com/search?q=cueAt a very quick glance, it looks to me like some meanings of "cue" share roots with "queue," and others do not.
