I just used the "convert to markdown" plus "find and replace" trick to change the formatting in a document so all the words in italics are now enclosed in quotation marks, and thank you again to the people who suggested this before!It saved me from 10 to 15 minutes of extremely tedious work.#AmEditing

@grammargirl I love using BBEdit to replace all sorts of stuff… I even created an Apple script to swap quote types in a selected block of text.

@grammargirl That's an interesting approach.I do all of my drafting in markdown to begin with (which is neither here nor there), but there are those times when you end up trying to make some large-scale change and no matter what tool you are using it becomes a PITA. Interesting approach.
