I have question everyone, what is the Pleroma ram requirement for a single user server?

@shark Honestly depends on database size and transactions more than number of users (How many people you follow, are followed by, how much you post and such). But starting with one of those tiny 512MB VPSes you find everywhere online will get you a long way. Maybe bump it up to 1GB if you use your instance a fair bit.Pleroma should even be able to run very comfortably on a Raspberry Pi or similar SBC (But if you do you'd probably want to store the database on something other than the SD card, for the sake of reliability)

@quad @shark I’d personally also recommend not using a relay if you go that route. A relay will bump up your ram and CPU requirements when the fediverse gets very active. (Although I’d not recommend using a relay regardless if you don’t want to deal with moderation hell.)

@glitch @shark A relay essentially just fetches posts constantly so they have a similar effect to adding hundreds or thousands of active users to an instance
