@cattailnu Angela looked out through the rusted lattice bolted to the window. Her ears were ringing. One eye was swollen shut. There was a beautiful view. Crystal blue water, an outcropping, foliage. Her head was spinning. She remembered the bar. Where was Ellen? She remembered the guy. Fit, assured, rich. She remembered getting hit in the face. Her hair stood on end. Pail and pallet. The pail was a weapon. She’d kill him when he came. She heard Ellen screaming. She’d have kill him now.

@cattailnu Henry always wanted to have a hose close to a lake or to the sea. It was his dream. And now, after decades of hard work, he has one. He had to work miracles to fix the house and make it habitable. It was almos destroyed but its structure was strong. It survived lots of things. It survived the return of the lake. To think that this place was once at the center of an urban area…#WritingPrompt

@cattailnu "Make yourself comfortable, I'll join you as soon as I can."Unseen servers left a cold buffet on the terrace. My host gave no indication of when he would arrive, so I helped myself. When I returned from my swim, the table was empty. The next morning, fresh coffee and croissants greeted me, but no host. The walk amongst the cherry blossom was uplifting, lunch delicious.That was twenty years ago. Not once has a servant shown themselves. My host never appeared.

We set up surveillance. Cameras on all sides and above. Motion detectors, microphones and infra red.
