one thing about the us planning is how they just can't use neutral terms to describe things, but have to invent this silly language where it's not houses or flats, but "homes", not city quarters, but "communities" and "neighborhoods", it feels incredibly oppressive

@pony Every few years there's some trendy word or phrase that should be used instead of an old boring one, because it's more respectful to say "I don't about unhoused people" instead of "I don't care about the homeless"

@DiegoBeghin i am not sure what is the intention behind this, but it's so dumb, you don't build homes, you build housing units, them becoming someone's home or something else is not really planning job, forcing that language on that level is so dumb
