@deerbard Miyazaki is divine, but there are close seconds like Makoto Niitsu who made Garden of Words and Kimi no Nawa. Very beautiful works of art ans storytelling.

@deerbard Literally every single creation of Satoshi Kon, although the topics he treated were a lot edgier and heavier.Then there's stuff like "Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms" that is simply gorgeous and heart-wrenching.
