       @Dude I don't mind more people enjoying my hobby, but once you start trying to make it NOT the hobby, that's when the foot has to be put down. The hobbies I got into were when I was a normie. I mean, what are you going to do about someone that plays a game -let's say Monster Hunter- and is just kinda there fresh from the outside? Nothing really, as long as they try to understand the "thing."The problem is, we don't put the foot down when infiltrators show their true colors and try to force changes in their worldview rather than assimilating into the hobby. We're too afraid to hurt someone's feelings or just make them concede: "This isn't for me then." Even worse, we keep advocating to make things more "friendly to newcomers." Ever thought that maybe it doesn't have to be like that? Look at Library of Ruina and its 2 other related titles; beloved by its niche fanbase, but it's got multiple barriers to entry. I wonder how they're going now that Limbus Company is out now...Maybe now we will consider gatekeeping. :reimu_sigh: @SniperKnighter
