       I’ve been feeling incredibly blackpilled about the state of the information ecosystem lately and I’m having a very hard time shaking it off this time.Frankly, doing information work (my term for trying to backstop the failing info ecosystem with a variety of online service work, fact-checking, info literacy, information grounds participation, etc) for the last 3-4 years kind of broke me. And it’s really catching up to me right now. Doing this work was the reason I returned to grad school to study library and information science. But I’m not really sure what I’m doing out here anymore or what I’m expecting anyone to be able to accomplish.

       @vortex_egg Everyone I know is overwhelmed and burned out by this shit, it's daunting and never-ending, and it feels hopeless.It's important to take care of yourself and recognize that you can only do so much.I take inspiration from the dedication @pluralistic wrote in his book "radicalized":"This isn't the kind of fight we win, it's the kind of fight we fight.”
