       @selea I mean, I use Discord as support place for my projects as well but that's because I don't want to maintain a forum nobody uses.But I don't say "we love open source" on my projects.

       @redstarfish >They love to use "open source" code to make their proprietary software products.Indeed, that's why proprietary software companies are such "boosters" for weak licenses like MIT expat and BSD 3-clause (even though such licenses predate "open source") - since they can just take the software and make it proprietary.

       @supernovae @finlaydag33k Open Source Communities/Projects should atleast bridge the community to other network.A "discord only" community/support is gatekeeping.I never said anything about using discord personally.

       @selea @finlaydag33k Telling me there are unwritten rules is gatekeeping even if we think it isn't.I mean, technically just being on github violates the premise and I don't want to go there since lots of great OSS projects are on github.

       @selea I wouldn't say "discord only" is gatekeeping.- What if I use Matrix? You still need an account for that.- What if I use IRC? Better have the IRC setup required for proper interaction.So what would make Discord so much different outside it being proprietary?@supernovae
