Is it just childdhood nostalgia, or was the weather more organized 20 years ago? Winter was proper winter, with snow and all, and when winter ended, you'd get spring, and it'd stay spring. Not this crazy back-and-forth we're seeing these days...

@wolf480pl I lacked snow this year 😢 Although, winter was mostly unpredictable for last 20 years. I still remember 2013, when there was -20ºC with extreme amounts of snow, which lasted for week (and collapsed public transport for a day or two), and then it got to +5ºC in two days.

@kuba by "proper" I don't mean "adequate for my needs and preferemces", I mean "sufficiently wintery to deserve its name", and while you may argue where the threshold is, "winter" is always on the cold side of that threshold.You could argue it's not "proper winter" unless it's -40 and 1m of snow.But if you say that "-1 and a mud" is "proper winter" then by common definitioj of winter, -10 and snow is more winter therefore also proper winter.
