I just don't understand the feature of Twitter that everyone can see what posts I like. I mean, if I want to share something I like I just retweet it, don't I?#twitter

And I completely don't understand why in my Twitter feed I see what someone else likes. This is kinda a person liked a post, but they decided to not share it to followers by retweeting, but Twitter decided that I should see it. Excuse me, but I followed people, not #Twitter algorithms, so wtf

looks like on Fediverse activities like "likes" are also shared. because I sometimes see posts liked by people I follow.but the thing I would really want to see is the ability to subsribe only to posts written by user, without his reposts. this is not realized and this is the most desirable feature I would like to see. ideally, I would like to have a choice to subscribe on user posts, his likes and his reposts, separately, if I want to see them.

@VGM I can understand the logic if you think; Victor follows X, Y and Z, and if X, Y and Z all like this post, then Victor could be interested in it as well. The question is how many "likes" from your follows are needed to make into a recommendation.I could see a feature where it is not on my timeline but I could have a list just for stuff that were "liked" by X number of people I followed. Like a "discovery" list. Of course, this is not what Twitter does.
