So the Disney Wish will now allow you to bring your own TV streaming device and connect it to the ships wifi. So they will allow you to stream for free, but can't connect to the wifi for internet without paying. Makes no sense. Also, I wonder how long til someone figures out a loop hole. Like if I bring a firetv stick, wonder if there is a way to make the firetv stick a bridge or if I bring my travel router and clone the MAC of the firestick if that would work

@PhilGastwirth I thought it was they let you stream their content to your phone.

@Nitro230Oh maybe. I've haven't been on a cruise yet. I guess that makes more sense that they are allowing this. I guess they have External access still blocked

@PhilGastwirth The one I saw was that some of the rooms have shitty TV placement, so one of the solutions is you can stream anything form the TV onto your phone while on the ships wifi. That being said wouldn't surprise me if they also let you stream via paid internet connection. Royal does that (they have two tiers and the lower one blocks streaming services)

@PhilGastwirth are they getting rid of provided TV services? Or is this in addition to whatever they already show?

@PhilGastwirth You can use an internet browser from the Firestick or can play games using it. I thought they were having a streaming service device in the room.

@PhilGastwirth travel router will solve that no prob. Hardest part though is getting the tvs to even use hdmi.
