For the past two weeks, I've been working on a little Interactive Fiction side project. The idea is to make a simple and streamlined IF engine that is compatible with Gemini but still sophisticated enough for compelling gameplay and puzzles.https://gmi.skyjake.fi/gemlog/2023-02_side-if.gmi#gamedev #gemini

@jk Wow. I had the same thought last week and spent some time looking at Twine to gather ideas. Talk about timing.

@jk That's interesting. I'm looking toward the release...Meanwhile, I've developped a CYOA system (for publishing to web, pdf, epub and many others) and I've added recently an export to the gemtext format. It's still a bit rough on the edges, but it's working. There is an example there:gemini://gem.ortie.org/cyoa/the_blue_death/index.gmiThe system is called #textallion https://github.com/farvardin/textallion/tree/master/samples_cyoa
