Drives me crazy how ProWritingAid and Grammarly almost always disagree on comma usage.#AmEditing 🥊

@steaphan So do my copy editor and my proofreader. One will remove a comma, the other will add it back!

@GlynnStewart @grammargirl We need a giant mnemonic to help us remember all of the legit comma rules. Mignon, what are your thoughts on tools like Grammarly and ProWritingAid disagreeing on correct comma usage?I've had the same thing happen as Glynn, where different editors disagree. Is there a comma tribunal in Europe or something?

@steaphan @GlynnStewart Commas a tricky because there are so many different ways to use them! Some of the comma "rules" are actually varying styles (such as using the serial comma or not using the serial comma), so I'm not surprised you see some disagreement. One thing I hear that is nice about PerfectIt, which is more of a professional editing tool, is that you can set which style guide you want it to follow.
