       I once dated a gym rat. He was a beautiful specimen. We were together for a season.I wasn't really in shape. He said he loved my cuddly body.How did I snag him? I treated him like I treat everyone else, with kindness and understanding. Was he insecure? You bet. Did he work out to keep the incessant voices that cut into him quiet? Yup.I gave him the safe space to learn about himself without judgement, and find a therapist.We're still friends, and he's still fit. He's happy.

       @GayDeceiver I had a similar experience. We’d go places, and people would come up with their business cards wanting to photograph him. It happened several times. Only, he never got passed the insecurity he felt. Eventually, we parted ways.

       @prodygy I hear you. I’ve dated a few guys who were so broken they couldn’t see that they needed someone professional to help them figure out their issues.It was a case of right time/right place. He had already started working on his inner stuff, and all I did was provide a sounding board.
