       Today at Baltimore Code and Coffee we had an impromptu community meeting where we talked about how members can get more involved and grow the community group.SO many people looked super engaged and inspired, ready to help.Many volunteers already signed up to do things! 🎉I love helping communities self-organize 🥰

       We used the framework "IRIS" to ground ourselves:What would make some initiatives more/less of a priority than others?IRIS =ImpactReachInclusionSustainabilityI came up with this IRIS framework with the umbrella Code and Coffee group during some workshops we did last Fall (and now we're applying it to our local group!)

       After today's event, a bunch of us worked together to open our group's @opencollective account 🎉Soon we'll be able to accept donations!We'll use money for things like: coffee/donuts, swag, and compensating local speakers.Many companies have wanted to throw money at us, but we haven't had a way to accept it... until now!
