       Holy shit.Y'know I'm from Eastern KY, right? I'm in the Appalachian mountains, and I actually have visited the Orthodox church in Charleston, WV. It's fucken beautiful. I mean, I'm Catholic, but our brothers in Christ know how to build a fucken beautiful church.Also, the chant is beautiful.

       Been down there in the hollers to paupers graves with my grandma to see my great aunts uncles and great grandparents resting places. The kind of place where it's not healthy to be in without locals knowing you're kin to those living there.

       It's a... well, not a good place, but a close place. The land is angry, and it hates the people on it, so you have to have something inside you that's like biting on tinfoil. Something that makes you hard to eat for the land. If you can thrive, you are the tougher for it. If you can't... well, the White family is a prime example of what happens to you if the corrupting forces of the land seep into you.
