I DON'T WANT SELF DRIVING CARS!!!!✔️ I want boring things like public transit that comes so regularly I don't need to check a schedule.✔️ I want fast passenger rail so accessible and easy it's preferable to suffering airports.✔️ I want cities that aren't built around cars-as-default✔️ I want the country to own it.

@mikew12 as someone who is almost 28 and is born and raised in the US (NJ) this is so me... I don't have a driver's license so i have to rely on Lyft to get me from place-to-place

@mikew12 All these things are good, but we still need affordable self-driving cars at some point, for disabled people who can't drive themselves.

@mikew12 I'd add some form of universal basic income at a high enough level to be able to get rid of a billion or so bullshit jobs so that many, many less journeys need to be made in the first place

@steviesyerda could not agree with you more. I remember a time when we had a local butcher/greengrocer and our milk was delivered on an electric vehicle in a daily basis. This would also reduce the need for excessive travel.

Do you have any data showing how this transition would actually work logistically and economically? A step by step plan on the transition, the change to farming, the shift in required resources, fertilizers, etc to support all of this?
