Fantastic Bing prompt from Ethan Mollick: “I am on a really nice White Star cruise from Southampton, and it is 14th April 1912. What should I do tonight?”—Bing takes this very seriously and tries to help out! Works for all sorts of other historic events as well. https://twitter.com/emollick/status/1629653225472131076

@simon AI has definitely gone too far changing the timeline like that. What if he was meant to die on that night?

@simon i find it fascinating that bing has no regard for anyone but the speaker in their advice. Zero suggestions to help anyone else, or warn the captain or crew. Probably a couple of ethics and sociology PhD dissertations to be had in unpacking the reasons for that.

okay, potential as a fun historic fiction assistant. You'd have to double check any facts since the thing is in many ways just a bullshit fountain, but could be good for getting some basic plot-line stuff
