       @nakst IMHO there is actually a lot of potential in giving the file system type and typeclass semantics, because the latter could make user interfaces a lot better.  Right now all we have are primitive MIME associations, when instead of context menus we could have the kind of type directed search that Haskell developers enjoy.

       I drag a .png image into the Fonts folder. For a second, nothing happens. And then, suddenly the image is cartoonishly flung out of the folder, causing it bounce around against the edges of my desktop. The icon of Fonts folder flashes in disgust.
