Thinking of signing up to Coursera for this Google Python class to learn how to automate stuff. It sounds pretty cool, and I've been seeing some jobs asking for python experience. Plus it would add a Google cert thingy to linkedin that I've been trained by Google for Python. That can't hurt my chances.

@PhilGastwirth I love Python. It’s come in so handy for all kinds of work and personal projects. Such a flexible and powerful language with tons of support.

@mattrichardsonI'm a noob when it comes to any programming but thats what makes this course seem near cause it's a true beginner class and has projects. Might not help me with work, but definitely could be cool for home projects.

@PhilGastwirth there are some programs that cover the cost of Coursera. Some are for specific programs or classes others let you pick the programs or courses that you want to do. I know of this one but I don't think it includes that specific program but it might include other courses you're interested in https://theamericandreamacademy.org/
