@cattailnu One night, a group of top level wizards and scientists tried to do together the only thing no one had been able to do on their own: to give animals the intelligence and free will they once had and lost when magic disappeared from earth. They had to do it in the night for dramatic effect, of course. They had success. In a few generations, animals integrated into the general population and now, an alligator, the most celebrated violinist is playing Paganini for the UN…#WritingPrompt

@cattailnu Giovanni Catallini had always had a reputation for eccentricity, but when he strode onto the stage dressed as an alligator, even his most ardent fans seemed disconcerted. Nonetheless, his rendition that night of the Adagio from Mahler’s Tenth Symphony is now widely regarded as perfection. There has since been speculation that the costume served to enhance the tone of his instrument. Perhaps the costume was not mere eccentricity?#WritingPrompt

@cattailnu Everything about the performance was normal, but the loose hair on the bow really bothered me.

@ixtlidekami Wizards and scientists. Would this have created a slave-class made of animals?

@KimSJ Or maybe he just forgot to pick up at the dry cleaners and it was all he had that wasn't comfy, holey, and grunge.

@cattailnu That was the idea. But those brilliant scientists and wizards made a mistake. They gave animals "the intelligence and free will they once had" and animals weren't happy about that plan. There was a little rebellion in the lab, a little war of the planet of the animals an now they all live happy but not together…=)
