       @noellemitchell @billmason  How are you making out with it? As far as registrars go, I would stay away from godaddy (they have issues), I use gandi.net, but porkbun.com or hover.com are all fine. The worst part about the SSGs is that they use git, which is fine software but not the easiest. OTOH, free hosting is pretty tempting.

       @pgv Well so far I haven't chosen anywhere to buy the domain name. I was just looking at write.as, which I'm not sure if you need to buy a custom domain to use. All this stuff is honestly confusing to me 😂

       @noellemitchell Ah ok. Let me give a hint: if you want a custom domain, just go do that when you’re ready using one of the links I gave above. Those companies have one job: let you buy a domain. If you buy one from them, you’ll be able to use it anywhere.
