Proud Boys trial and Oath Keepers trial have been getting me up so early for so long I have broken my brain and I can no longer sleep past 4am.

I would take 5am. But this 345am wake up is just brutal. And if I take melatonin, I will never be up on time. Well, they say you can sleep when you're dead right?! 😴

@Brandi_Buchman I feel your pain. Up at 4am for no good reason other than my brain deciding it had enough sleep.

@Brandi_Buchman When that happens I look it at like, my body is still getting rest if I continue lying down despite waking up. Heart doesn't have to pump as much etc.

@Brandi_Buchman I used to stress when I'd wake up too early and once I learned to accept it life got much easier. Lying in bed fretting because you want to be asleep won't help anything, I'd recommend you get out of bed and start your day.BTW, I woke up at 2 AM this morning.

@Brandi_Buchman I found a really good sleep therapist who develops a biofeedback method tailored to each patient. Mine involves imagining a sine wave on an oscilloscope while moving my pointer finger up and down with each cycle. It usually works, but not when I’ve already reached 6 hours of sleep. Good luck!

@Brandi_Buchman I've always been an early riser, so 4am isn't terribly unusual for me. I really like waking early because it's quiet and I have the morning to myself. Of course, that has a lot to do with lifestyle and what's on the agenda for the rest of the day. But I take advantage by reading and catching up on solitary things. But, yup, I get very tired in the afternoon. :(

@Brandi_Buchman I get up apx. that time but I don't have to run out the door. It's a choice for me, but I find it difficult all the same.

@Brandi_Buchman You'll adjust. I was getting up at about that time for years, and after retiring, I'm back to normalish hours.
