       Today marks one year of war in #Ukraine, one year of war in #Europe. Many people have died, many towns and cities have been destroyed or damaged, and many people have fled their homes. None of us knows when it will end. Let us not forget and continue to support Ukraine and its people more than ever. Putin cannot win this war he has created.

       @stux It looks like the worst kind of war, where one side has simply lost all ability to make progress, and should realistically give up.Instead Ukraine is stuck with this war it never wanted. They will have to finish the fight to its bitter end.At least they're getting the support they need to make that happen.I wish it weren't so very necessary.

       @stux Important for us to all understand how the US has supported Ukraine well beyond any other single country. I'm proud of the US for that because Ukraine's fight is essential for democracy's future as I see it.

       @stux Nine years of war, actually. Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014 taking Crimea and parts of Donbas. For eight years it was local and under mass media radar. Today we mark one year of a full scale war or of a current stage of war.
