       I should go check out my city's aquarium again, I haven't been in a couple years now. I'd love to have a tank of my own again but unless I'm in a really stable living situation I'd just be stressing about it all the time.

       Nothing super exciting, probably just some schools of tetras, a dwarf gourami, and a school of cory cats. I like cichlids because they have a lot of personality but most of them also love to uproot plants and shit when they get bored. Angelfish wouldn't though, so I could probably get one or two if the tank was big enough.

       @Hoss that would be a really pretty tank comp (I did have to look up gouramis)i absolutely love catfish, some of the cutest fish in my opinionid love a tank at some point too, i used to be so into the idea as a little girl but it was always so expensive

       Cory cats are really fun but they're so cute and playful that I get sad when one of them inevitably gets sick and dies.

       Actually I think I'd like to do keyhole cichlids instead of the angelfish. They're usually peaceful for the cichlid family and also aren't known for ripping apart tanks too much. I had one in an old tank of mine but my angelfish bullied him so much that he hung out in a cave that the angelfish couldn't fit into all day and I felt terrible about it. I'd like to raise one that isn't being terrorized by a tankmate.
