@Teri_Kanefield This is an insanely detailed, rigorously cited body of work that takes a clear-eyed view of our political rhetoric and the fallacious argumentation prevalent with it.⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Definitely a must read if you value logical argumentation over knee-jerk reactionary responses.

@Teri_Kanefield I’m sorry, and I’m sure that you won’t care, but these seem like cop out responses to me.

@Gizmo You might want to try re-reading more carefully, or you should unfollow me.Why would you follow someone you think is engaging in cop outs? To troll me?I don't follow people I disrespect.

@Gizmo You didn't upset me.I was suggesting that YOU stop following ME.If you read what I wrote, and think that I'm giving "cop out responses," then you should hit the "unfollow" button. You should probably also mute me.

@Teri_Kanefield Thanks! This article is fantastic and heartening. I often find using the prisms of harm-reduction and increasing-kindness helpful when I'm feeling overwhelmed and more prone to being influenced by "Frequently Asserted Rage-Inducing-Simplifications".

@Teri_Kanefield just fyi: there is just one photo in the article almost 75% of. the way down from the top and the FB algorithm chose to use that as the background for the link. Here's how it is presented when shared on FB.

@stepheneb GAH Thanks for letting me know. Did that happen when you shared it?Try this trick: Attach your own photograph, even if it's just a screenshot of my title.I think Facebook will let you edit.See how that goes.

@Teri_Kanefield A friend shared it. Likely because it was the only photo in the article. Curious if you had also included a photo near the top that was more inline with the theme of the article if FB would have chosen that instead. Since I avoid rage-bait skimming quickly I would first tend to skip any shared link with that photo.

@stepheneb It would have yes. It takes the first photo.I usually try to remember to use something better. I also learned with Twitter that once it's posted, the cache thingy picks it up and you can't change it. So I have to make sure before doing blog posts that I have it right because sometimes my readers will share it before I send the email out.

@Teri_Kanefield Your definition of consequences is quite over-generous. Flynn is still receiving his military pension and has never been court-martialled per military code for lying under oath. Stone was in direct communication with the Proud Boys convicted of sedition, but neither Stone nor Trump who also publicly directed these same Proud Boys, were charged with sedition.

@Teri_Kanefield Consequences for the ringleaders would mean actual charges and trials. Since they received merely performative consequences, Flynn, Stone, Bannon and Trump are emboldened to continue their seditious activities unabated even today. The public is right to their skeptical conclusions, and your blithe FAQ dismissals are risible.

@commonsensepaine If you DID read the entire page, you evidently didn't understand them. Why are you following me if you think I'm wrong?I would suggest trying again. Read the FAQs more closely. If you still disagree, unfollow and leave.I don't follow people I think are wrong.I certainly don't go around picking fights with people I disagree with. You shouldn't either.
