@slytherinhermit @Piss_Ant I'll be honest, I don't know a ton about Bari Weiss other than that she dated Kate Mckinnon in college lol. My wife seems to be more knowledgeable about her and said she's kinda neolib and compared her to Katie Herzog. But I listened to the podcast and its good. The way its slowly ramping up makes me think it'll successfully bring a lot of people that weren't fully aware up to speed on trans bs and how cult-like it all is.

@lezpaulguitars @slytherinhermit I love Bari Weiss because she is smart and adorable and her and her wife are cute. I don't support everything she says and sometimes I find her so cringey I can't listen. I never get that with Katie. Very different imo. Bari has weirder ideas and is SUPER earnest about them. Katie is willing to consider other sides, not super earnest about much except dogs and weed.

@lezpaulguitars @Piss_Ant Yes I hope it will inform people who don't really know what's been happening. i also think the people it most needs to reach are the people who will listen to it in secret so i'm not sure what will really happen. i'm listening to a recording of a twitterspace between bari and megan right now (just a few minutes in) and it's interesting how terrified megan seems about talking about this considering her past.

@ninapaley they're intentionally building up the background for what's happening now, especially for people that might not be drawing the parallels between evangelicals and the trans movement and how they respond to a perceived threat. I think by episode 4 or 5 it'll get really interesting.
