@AlgorithmWolf this reminds me i think it would be a great idea to have a reviews site so actual users can write down what servers are really like to help people choose, rather than only having their own descriptions to go by.

@lamp There exist services that let you post comments even on websites that don't have comments. It works through browser extensions and is universal.But guess what, this software is often pushed by the alt-right freeze peach and so the comments are often unmoderated dumpster fires.But a review sites for Mastodon servers is not such a stupid idea, maybe 🤔

@ink8 @shadowferret @AlgorithmWolf it's not really a big deal as long as they mind their own business in their own isolated communities, with members who agree to this. the problem is when they host members that don't really belong there. we should politely suggest or encourage them to move to better servers. like i finally got kingu to move to mstdn.social from octodon.social, now i can follow them 🙂
