       @stux The best thing I think we can do now is hit him hard in Ukraine and get him out more rapidly than he thought possible. And then properly sanction Russia.This is tee-ing up a very worrisome situation with Russia and China, where Russia will become a puppet state, I think.

       @stux I think he believes. Putin has a lot of Chinese fans. Before the war, they said US intelligence is bullshit, Russian won't invade. After the war, they said if it's not US keeping talking about it, Russian won't do it. This is just like how they defend Trump: it's all democrats fault.

       @stux the problem in living in an environment where nobody surrounding you challenge what you say is that you start believing in what is more comfortable and easy inside your mind. Yes, he does believe in all the bullshit. The hardest thing in our era is to get to the part where you think “wait, I have been wrong all this time?!” and have peace with it. From the average citizen to the dictator.

       @stux yes he does believe it. This speech was pathetic. If you’ve ever been in competition, that’s the agony of the loosing side. They speak more ruthlessly, make risky moves and bluff harder towards the end.
