I just tried Spoutible. Despite warnings from others about issues. It's shitty.Broken dialogs that don't respond unless you don things "right" but don't tell you what "right" is.Automatically followed a bunch of people I don't care about. No one there (that's active) that I'm interested in.No way to edit "spouts".They require your phone number but don't tell you that up front.

Update:Do not join Spoutible. It's not a serious platform. It's not run by a responsible leader.Criticism is constantly responded to by attacking the critics, while never addressing the criticisms. If you are inclined to claim that some of these criticisms are unfair or biased — ask yourself what reputable company would allow itself to get bogged down in personal battles with critics and drag those critics through the mud?Ask yourself if you want to be a part of that.

If you haven't come across the battles its founder, Christopher Bouzy, has been having with his critics, consider yourself luck. But in the past few days he's raised the status of one critic as a victim of sexual crimes as a reason why she can't be trusted, and compared another critic to Carolyn Bryant, who's false accusations led to Emmett Till's death.Meanwhile he hasn't directly addressed any actual criticisms.

I wanted Spoutible to succeed. I want competition in this marketplace, and Bouzy, with Bot Sentinel, has experience in social media analysis. And so, for a long time, I've held my tongue about issues linked to him, and forgiven other issues.

For example, I use the Bot Sentinel web plugin. I even wrote an autoresponder that would check the bot sentinel status of everyone that interacted with me, and tweet out their bot score if it was bad. I used that for a short time. But Bouzy has never disclosed how Bot Sentinel works. Now, he doesn't "have to" do that, because it's his own work. But "obscurity through security" is a central tenet that exists to describe this behavior from vendors.

So I've been relying on blind faith to trust that Bot Sentinel uses some sensible method under the hood. My experience was that most of the time it seemed to be on track with my (expert) impressions of user interactions on Twitter. But it was not a good sign.

And I was aware of his ventures in cryptocurrency. While some have been quick to call this work "scamming", I had been willing to write it off as a well-meaning but failed venture into cryptocurrency. While I have never considered crypto to be an honest venture, I do think plenty of professionals have gone down that road with good intentions, and have not intentionally done anything wrong.
