       @tek We recently made the kiddo watch that. Had to bribe her with popcorn to get her to agree, but once it got going she was rapt. That movie’s still got it!

       @tek We watched that a month or so ago. I’d never really seen it but Unclear and Present Danger podcast did a second episode on it so put it on the list. It’s just a shockingly well done movie that’s much more nuanced than it seemed.

       @tek I guess I was like 8? So my dad probably would have let me see it (he let me watch Dawn of the Dead at that age which was probably not great). But mostly just grew upknowing about it and never seeing anything but short clips. Plenty of other impending nuclear apocalypse fiction to avoid (or watch with morbid fascination which was more my thing as a young person.)

       @tekThis is my father's favorite movie and I was forced to watch it a dozen times throughout my childhood. There was even a period where it felt kind of cringe to watch because Sean Connery's Russian accent was so not good and I was old enough to realize that fact.
