       I hate when read markers aren't very responsive. Like you click in a chatbox and it still says you have the notification so you scroll around a bit, type and delete stuff, just keep waiting for it to say it's read. I've had a similar problem with webmail before. Sometimes I even open an email, archive it, and later find out it was still marked unread.
