@Teri_Kanefield I promoted his bot sentinel for years, it was a great tool on the bird site, then one day Bouzy suddenly blocked me for defending Pelosi.His tweets about Pelosi were vile and not informed. He blamed her for not impeaching TFG right up till the articles of impeachment were announced.He went after her despite all the news that she was working on it feverishly for weeks, etc. I explained how the House works and got blocked. Not surprised now...

@Teri_Kanefield THREAD: I’ve been watching how Spoutible’s was being set up and felt hopeful enough about Spoutible to donate money frequently in order to have a better place to go in place of Twitter. Bouzy seemed to be doing ok and had good intentions so I ignored all the red flags bc they seemed to come from haters. Then word of one Spoutible’s policies being problematic for a often marginalized group tripped Courtney Milan’s switch and I couldn’t ignore that. 1.

@Teri_Kanefield She can be very blunt and reactive which can be off putting to many. This is a real shame because she’s very intelligent and has a good grasp on how marginalized people can be hurt by the way laws &amp; policies are written. I’ve been following her for years and learned a lot from her. I followed both parties for their points of view and found Milan to have a good point about the policy in question2.

@Teri_Kanefield needing to be rewritten for clarity and care towards not allowing the policy to be used against marginalized people. I felt Bouzy reacted kind of like a momma bear whose baby was maligned and had closed his ears towards hearing legitimate concerns. Then he posted screenshots from Milan’s Wikipedia page and accused her of having an agenda [of which he was a victim]. It3.

@Teri_Kanefield came across (to me) he took a page from the Republicans playbook and was twisting things in his favor and making himself out to be the victim. After that, I regretted not paying more attention to the reasonable types of people who called him out and expressed their concerns. I think Spoutible still has promise *IF* Bouzy can get independent neutral knowledgeable groups to review his policies carefully to help ensure his site is open to all people4.

@Teri_Kanefield (even Trumpers as much as I hate to say it so it’s not Leftist Truth Social) and limits ways policies can be used harm. Bouzy will have authority over people in his website and hopefully he learns ways to avoid abusing that authority. He also needs to step back a bit and not tout Spoutible to the point of obnoxiousness. It’s not perfect and he does have his own biases. It’s going to backfire on him. 5.

@Teri_Kanefield Screenshots from Spoutible that are still searchable to follow. They are intended to share the current tone so people can judge for themselves. It’s not a bad place, but it clearly not perfect or a place that can accommodate everyone’s needs. It also doesn’t allow for ppl to discuss why that site will or will not work for them. Most ppl were expressing concern about whether that SM site was right for them &amp; why and got blocked. That’s a problem bc 7.

What does he think is wrong with that genre and the people who write the books? Why didn’t his diehard supporter’s didn’t catch it and call him out? Do his opinions mean anything to me? @Teri_Kanefield I did and agreed with it. &lt;sigh&gt; I just don’t care for the Mastodon experience. It feels…choppy? Or like I am wearing my shirt backwards - like something just isn’t comfortable. It’s hard to connect and find topics &amp; people here. I love the search feature of Twitter &amp; it’s not as good anywhere else. I guess I’ll just keep accounts on all to lurk and keep in touch particular people and news accounts. I just won’t interact much on Twitter or Spoutible. ☹️

@Teri_Kanefield I couldn’t put my finger on why it bothers my so much. Then I compared him to other SM site owners. My opinion of Musk is that he comes across as a ‘bad guy’ so I’m not surprised when he does bad things. Bouzy came across as a person from a marginalized group who wanted to “protect” others from abuse, so expectations were considerably higher. When, in my opinion, he mishandled situation with Milan, it was a big let down and a red flag. That, and 1.
