       @Gizz47 @markwitton when we dug our pond, about 9 years ago, I'd agreed to take newt spawn from my friend at work, however the frogs moved in and took up residence, they are still there. You might need to watch out for baby frogs when mowing the lawn.

       @PatriciaLewis @Gizz47 Good point. We have a pretty liberal approach to mowing the lawn anyway as we want as much wildlife as possible. Baby frogs are a great excuse to let the garden do what it wants!

       @Palaeojules Still only one mass of eggs that we can see, but there's a male (I think) frog in the pond every night, croaking away in what (we assume) is an effort to attract a female to make more.
