@hrcerq @takao Very few is non-zero and they're enough that a lot of projects are stuck to a single version.Even python doesn't have that problem.And of course only the latest version of lua is supported.

@lanodan @takao I see... yet I believe that if a project is tied to a specific version it's more like a project flaw than Lua's, as it's possible to write code that runs on at least the last four versions.Also, for a platform that aims to be embedded for the most cases, being stuck with a single version, while not desirable, is not really a critical problem.But anyway, I get your point.

@hrcerq @takao Vendoring specific lua versions is definitely a problem, because you're going to miss bug (and so security) fixes done by upstream but also by the operating system.https://www.lua.org/bugs.html
