@CSB He fell from grace in 2020, and might now just have some unimportant but fancy-sounding position.Everything is vague and kinda fluid in the Russian power structure under Putin, by design I am sure, but my bet would be on Bortnikov as the second in power.

@CSB the purpose was not to demonstrate bravery in the prospect of facing death. It was a symbolic visit to demonstrate solidarity to Ukraine and encourage further unification of the west.
