       An unusually cold storm is apparently headed for L.A. this week. It is entirely possible that a slight scattering of snow might fall in areas lower than the usual surrounding mountains, such as the higher valleys. This is rare, but by no means unprecedented. I have seen it during my lifetime.

       @laurenJust as I have seen snow in Santa Clara in my lifetime. But the snow was not in the lifetime of many people here

       @lauren Jan 2011 north LA county. Snowed ~10 hours and ended up w several inches on lawn and even an inch of slush on streets
