I am curious to know the origin of the nonsense about Polish MiG-29s, repeated for months by some Ukrainian media and experts. The nonsense reads as follows: all Polish MiG-29s were forcibly re-deployed to the Ramstein Air Base in March 2022 so that Poland would not hand them over to Ukraine. The addendum is that the Polish MiG-29s were modified in Israel and it is Israel that is behind the withholding of the transfer of these aircraft to the Ukrainians. The truth is trivial: when the suggestion to hand over the Polish fighters was made in March 2022, no one was able to establish either the procedure or the compensation to Poland for the 1/3 of fighters in the Polish Air Force. Moreover, no one wanted to take responsibility for the handover of the planes.Poland did a "check" and announced that it could hand over the planes to the Americans, who would then hand them over to Ukraine as their property. The place of the handover was to be the base in Ramstein, so that there would be no doubt that the planes had not flown from Poland.Of course, no one agreed to such a deal and the planes did not fly to Ramstein. They were still used by the Polish Air Force at bases in Minsk Mazowiecki and Malbork. Since December they have all been gathered at Malbork, with Minsk preparing to receive the South Korean FA-50s.To make things funnier, there are a whole bunch of photos and videos taken in 2022 and 2023 showing MiGs flying over Poland. Just ask YouTube for the phrase 'MiG-29 Malbork 2023' and videos from February this year will appear. To support the theory that these aircraft have been held for a year at Ramstein, there is not a single photo or video, although the arrival of more than 20 machines would have gathered dozens, if not hundreds, of Western European spotters. The icing on the cake is the Media Day on 15 February 2023, from which there are quite a few photos. You can see Dutch F-35s and... I attach a link to the article below. As for the modifications, they were not carried out in Israel, but at WZL-2 in Bydgoszcz. The only connection between Polish MiG-29s and Israel was a few weeks' stay of these machines, many years ago, when Israel wanted to learn about their capabilities.Last but not least - handing over aircraft is not buying someone a beer. They need to be prepared on the technical side, for example by dismantling the NATO IFF system. Which is neither easy nor quick - it's not like throwing a couple of empty cans out of the car so your mother-in-law doesn't grumble. If you have any Ukrainian journalists among your friends, please send them the link to the article below to somehow end the life of this Ramstein nonsense.@maria_drutska , maybe you could help in some way?🌐 https://dziennikbaltycki.pl/holendrzy-z-f35-z-malborka-bronia-wschodniej-flanki-nato-cenia-sobie-wspolprace-z-polskimi-pilotami/ar/c3-17294201🎦 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEsKZLRfwao#️⃣ #MiG29 #PolishAirForce #UkrainianAirForce #supportUkraine #Ukraine
