       I have tried 3 apps for #Mastodon (for Android) in the past month and each has advantages and disadvantages. None of them was a clear winner.  I'm actually still running two of them concurrently. Come on, help an old lady out. What app are you running for Mastodon?

       Following up on this because I promised to do so. I had asked for assistance in selecting a Mastodon Android app and I gave every app that was recommended to me a trial run. After a few weeks of playing around, I decided to continue with Megalodon,  but I also use Mastodon on my browser and have retained Tusky (just in case).

       So, I asked a very basic sort of relative newcomer question and got lots of replies with great info and recommendations.  Just want to say that #Mastodon is so cool. Thanks for helping an old lady out. If I had tried this on #ThatOtherPlace I can guarantee I would have received:1. Ef off old lady2. Dumb b-word or3. My avatar would have been blown up and ridiculed.It's like I'm on a different planet now. Anyway thanks guys. Lots of things to look into now. ❤️

       @doctorjaymarie software that allows you to use math symbols https://en.m.wikibooks.org/wiki/LaTeX/Mathematics. It allows mathies and PhysEds to toot about their work differently without having to link to a paper. See Mathstodon using  chrome. Once you use it you can't go back.
