Vinyl Chloride / Vinyl Chloride Monomer (VMC) has been a known hazardous chemical for a very long time. I cannot believe what I am hearing about how Ohio responded to the spill. This is a summary of internal company reports from the '60s and '70s. It is Frontline, but back when they were mostly reliable. https://www.pbs.org/tradesecrets/program/vinyl.html

@LorenzoRojo try looking at the SDS from Sigma-Aldrich or Applied Gas. They are more complete. Also, Vinyl Chloride is different than Vinyl Chloride Monomer. I originally thought that the cars contained VCM, which is far worse. Still, uncontrolled burning VC is disquieting.
