Has anyone seen a generative AI model yet where you can describe a full 3D scene and then explore a small generated world based on that?I've seen POINT-E but that's not quite what I'm after here - I want to type "a cave with a river through it" and then get dropped into the resultPOINT-E: https://techcrunch.com/2022/12/20/openai-releases-point-e-an-ai-that-generates-3d-models/

@simon I saved this graphic about a week ago but have no idea if it is older or obsolete. It lists three other AI networks in Text-to-3D

@simon I did see someone who was doing exact that and getting pretty interesting results … I can’t find it now though… I’ll look and see if I can find it. It’s a really cool usage.

@simon I used to think the most (well, second after the force fields and replicators) unrealistic part of the ST:TNG holodeck was the fact that a user could give the computer a two sentence prompt and get an entire 3D simulation generated in 20 seconds. Now I see that is significantly more realistic, at least as long as a good fraction of the Federation enjoys publishing 3D holonovels to train on.

@chrismessina yes I think that's exactly what I'm talking about here
